Amy Austin Renshaw is the co-founder and Executive Director of CodeArt, a non-profit that uses art to inspire girls to code. Amy feels strongly that it is important to increase the percentage of women in STEM fields. She aims to help do that by getting girls interested in computer programming at a young age.
Code Art holds workshops, after school classes, digital art exhibitions, art hackathons, and speaker symposiums that focus on generative art, or art created through computer programming.
Amy holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, as well as an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Amy has been a volunteer with Girls Who Code since January 2015. In her free time, she also enjoys yoga, reading, and travel.
